Accolades Listed below are some words of praise from those who have attended AULIC General - really a nice relaxed atmosphere - the blend of culture, language and socialization was great - people made an effort to include everyone in the activities and to feel at home - as a total stranger to the Ukrainian language, at the camp I felt I learned quite a bit - company was A+ - everyone was great about making you feel welcome - the trip to Canora was interesting and fun - everyone was very helpful and friendly - it was a wonderful experience - liked the evening campfire singing and socializing - some of the days were long but fun - I had a lot of fun during the weekend meeting people, eating good food and learning The program - the classes and food were really great - enjoyed the Sunday Church service - having frequent short breaks was good - the church service was beautiful - I learned more about Ukrainian culture than ever before - the classroom games were a good teaching aid Organization - organizationally things were well done - everything seemed to be very organized - liked how we worked together as a team doing dishes and clean-up - having handouts of the schedule was good for letting people know the schedule Instructors - the teachers knew their material, knew how to relate to students with different levels of competency - teachers used various techniques like humor, singing, challenging students, etc. - handouts were of good quality and easy to follow. - the instructors were great - really enjoyed the instructors - liked the riddles, games, slides, reading, - very qualified Facilities - modest but more than adequate - kitchen facilities were very good for a summer camp - kitchen facilities were obviously more than sufficient Food - meals were fantastic if not a bit too generous - food was excellent - the food was great - the cooks deserve a big bouquet for their excellent skills and work Socialization - wished the socialization was longer, the singing was great - the evenings were nice, friendly and a great time to get to know one another better Cultural activities/events - really enjoyed the wood carving demo - the mock bistro was great and so was the food - enjoyed the presentations on Franko, Ukrayinka and Shevchenko - lively bistro, added a nice touch to the camp - embroidery class was great as was the wood carving - cultural teaching was good -- Kyiv cooking - singing was fun - the 'play' dinner was a great idea - a lot of fun - Ed was a great waiter - really enjoyed the bistro - the guide at the museum in Canora was wonderful |
